Wireless carrier T-Mobile is adding eight metropolitan areas -- including metro Detroit -- to its next-generation 4G network today. The new network will nearly triple the download speeds of the carrier's 3G network, Regional Vice President of Engineering and Operations Bentley Alexander said. T-Mobile now has 4G coverage in more than 80 metropolitan markets in the U.S.
